Continuing Nursing Education

Continuing Nursing Education is an informative lesson conducted on every Wednesday to enhance the knowledge of nurses working in the hospital. It is helpful in encouraging the nurses to participate in the teaching learning programme. The lessons are made more impressive with the use of slides and other multimedia.

Every week, different topics are discussed in the class. Before presenting the topic, the CNE co-coordinator is supervising the prepared matter. Under his guidance the prepared topic is given to final touch.
CNE is a lesson, which provides information in current aspects and helps to review the knowledge of nurses.

In a multidisciplinary health care system continued education,learning and professional development are pivotal. To cope with the rapidly changing health care system to beat the professional conservatism and inertia CME plays a major role.

Well crafted,targeted CME programmes improve not only doctor's performance but also health care outcomes. The profession must respond to the growing pressures for it to be more open about and accountable for maintaining professional standards.With this in mind Ahalia hospital has adopted CME a way of life to motivate the doctors for self learning and improving their performance.

The CME at Ahalia has a longstanding history.

It's origin was in the year 1996 in which 15 doctors attended the topic being Myocardial Infarction protocol. This has progressed to a meeting attended by around 100 doctors once or twice a month. Ahalia is well equipped to handle meetings of this proportion with ana excellent conference hall. The CME programmes are credited with points alloted by the ministry of health and the general health authority of Abu Dhabi.
